Students will build a beetle that has no senses. They will try to move it around the classroom using the controller. Students will add at least two senses to help the beetle navigate its environment, and then test the experience again. Afterwards, students will share how the senses inform the beetle's responses, and relate this experience to real-life examples of animals collecting information with their senses. An optional evaluation prompt asks students to draw and label their beetle and explain how senses help it respond to information.

Učenci bodo sestavili hrošča, ki nima čutov. Poskusili ga bodo premikati po učilnici s pomočjo krmilnika. Učenci bodo dodali vsaj dva čuta, da bi hrošču pomagali pri orientaciji v okolju, nato pa bodo ponovno preizkusili izkušnjo. Nato bodo učenci razpravljali o tem, kako čuti vplivajo na odzive hrošča, in to izkušnjo povezali z dejanskimi primeri živali, ki zbirajo informacije s svojimi čuti. V okviru neobvezne ocenjevalne naloge učenci narišejo in opišejo svojega hrošča ter pojasnijo, kako mu čutila pomagajo odzivati se na informacije.
