Students will design, test and compare solutions to make it easier for a two-legged puppy to play fetch. They will assess the usefulness of the puppy's existing prostheses based on three criteria (speed, ability to go straight and ability to turn around) and then use those criteria to design and test alternatives. They will compare the solutions based on how well each meets the criteria and decide which is best. Afterwards, students will relate their designs to real-life animal prosthetic solutions. An optional prompt asks students to design a solution for the puppy in a new environment.

Učenci bodo zasnovali, preizkusili in primerjali rešitve, ki bodo dvonogemu kužku olajšale igro prinašanja. Ocenili bodo uporabnost obstoječih protez kužka na podlagi treh meril (hitrost, sposobnost hoje v ravni liniji in sposobnost obračanja) ter nato na podlagi teh meril zasnovali in preizkusili alternative. Rešitve bodo primerjali glede na to, kako dobro izpolnjujejo merila, in se odločili, katera je najboljša. Nato bodo učenci svoje zasnove povezali z dejanskimi protetičnimi rešitvami za živali. Izbirno vprašanje poziva učence, naj zasnujejo rešitev za mladička v novem okolju.
