Students will build Squirrel, who collects seeds in her cheeks and hides them in different places to eat in the winter. They will discuss how Squirrel's body functions to collect and disperse the seeds. Students will then build possible plants that could grow from the hidden seeds that Squirrel leaves behind. Afterwards, students will share their plants and describe how Squirrel functions to disperse the seeds. They will relate this experience to real-life examples of animals dispersing seeds. An optional evaluative prompt asks students to describe how Squirrel helped new plants to grow.

Učenci bodo izdelali veverico, ki zbira semena v licih in jih skriva na različnih mestih, da jih bo lahko pojedla pozimi. Razpravljali bodo o tem, kako deluje telo veverice pri zbiranju in razširjanju semen. Nato bodo izdelali rastline, ki bi lahko zrasle iz skritih semen, ki jih veverica pusti za seboj.
