Students will share and explain how the parent meets the baby's needs and how the baby communicates its needs. Afterwards, students will relate this experience to real-life examples of animal parents and how they meet the needs of offspring. An optional evaluative prompt asks students to draw a picture of a parent animal meeting the needs of its offspring.

Učenci bodo izdelali model starša in mladička zmaja ter razpravljali o tem, kaj mladiček potrebuje. Nato bodo izdelali modele, ki prikazujejo, kako lahko starš te potrebe zadovolji. Učenci bodo predstavili in pojasnili, kako starš zadovoljuje potrebe mladiča in kako mladič sporoča svoje potrebe. Nato bodo to izkušnjo povezali z dejanskimi primeri živalskih staršev in tem, kako ti zadovoljujejo potrebe svojih mladičev. V okviru neobvezne ocenjevalne naloge bodo učenci narisali sliko živalskega starša, ki zadovoljuje potrebe svojega mladiča.
